BACKGROUND
Nestled in the heart of Sydney, the iconic Sydney Sofitel Wentworth has recently undergone a comprehensive lift modernisation, setting a new benchmark in luxury and efficiency. In collaboration with Schindler Lifts Australia, this project showcased the innovative craftsmanship of Australian Lift Components and P&R Liftcars combined with highly advanced technology from Dewhurst at its core.
The project focused on modernising four front-of-house passenger lifts and three back-of-house service lifts. We aimed to enhance their look, functionality, and interactivity while ensuring they remain robust and reliable. This high-profile Australian project showcases our dedication to providing excellent lift design and technology solutions, enhancing the luxurious experience at Sofitel Wentworth Sydney.

The solutions implemented for the Sydney Sofitel Wentworth modernisation were comprehensive and tailored to meet the project’s high standards.
P&R Liftcars delivered luxurious interiors using Rimex T22 Quartz Bronze Granex material, complemented by natural stone quartzite floors and stainless steel handrails with a leather finish. This combination provided both aesthetic appeal and durability.
We ensured advanced interactivity and ease of use for guests with Dewhurst’s US1 18.5” full HD display and touchscreen package, integrated behind vandal-resistant toughened glass, along with Dewhurst US95 push buttons. The networked Dewhurst US1 display allows the Sofitel marketing team to update information remotely. This feature ensures guests always receive the most current information during their stay.
Select floors were equipped with Dewhurst’s wave-touchless technology, enhancing accessibility and hygiene standards. As for the back-of-house service lifts, upgrades included Dewhurst HD 10.4” displays and US95 push buttons.
These solutions collectively enhanced the functionality and luxury of the lifts, meeting the high standards and operational needs.
